A Funeral Mass for Beatrice Emily ?Bessie? Tomsak of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December, 13, 2011, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Stan Swiderski as celebrant. Visitation will be 9:00 until 9:45 AM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Bess passed away Friday, December 9, 2011, at Good Samaritan Village, at the age of 97. She was born March 14, 1914, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Emil and Bessie Bohdan Moravec. She married Arthur Tomsak in 1936, at Chicago, Illinois. As a young girl she worked for a jewelry company in Chicago. After marriage she was not only a homemaker but a business partner with her husband in a tool company. Her hands were always busy knitting and crocheting mittens, scarves and hats for the orphans. She gave much time and energy to the church charities. Bess was a caregiver for her mother for eight years. She lavished her love and time on those who needed it. Bess lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1980 moving from Brookfield, Illinois and was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister, Marion (Frank) Lassa of Rickreall, OR; sister-in-law, Dorothea Moravec of Eugene, OR and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
