A Celebration of Life for Betsy Lee Horton Irvine of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Betsy passed away December 18, 2014, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 56. She was born July 20, 1958, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Jane Hardcastle Horton. She married Stephen Irvine on November 15, 1997, at Anchorage, Alaska and was a homemaker. Betsy lived in Mountain Home since 2013, moving from Sterling, Alaska. She was a dedicated Christian who devoted much time to learning about different religions. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, hiking, and camping.
Betsy is survived by her husband, Stephen Irvine of Sterling, AK; three daughters, Mindy (David) Lorring of Seward, AK, Jerrica (Nathan) Woods of Kasilof, AK and Jenna Grant of Courdaline, ID; mother, Jane Horton of Everett, WA; six grandchildren, Tanis, Keegan, Emerson and Riley Favero and Lilly and Kaela Woods; two sisters, Laura (Jim) Rogers of Harrison, AR and Cathy Bentley-Squire of Mountain Home, AR; two step-brothers, Ben (Juli) Harmon of Seattle, WA and Charles Harmon of Chicago, IL; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Horton, two brothers, Scott Horton and Bobby Horton and sister, Nina Horton.
