Betty Brave

Funeral Services for Betty Jean Brave of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Fred Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, prior to the service. Betty died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Good Samaritan Village, at the age of 78. Betty was born October 21, 1931 in Kankakee, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Maude Reetz. She married Raymond Brave on March 15, 1975 at Chebanse, Illinois and worked as a Executive Secretary for Western Electric. Betty lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1990 moving from Chebanse, Illinois. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and had a College of Regeants Degree from the Women of the Moose. Betty is survived by her son, Brian (Roberta) Brave of Durham, NC and 3 grandchildren, Priscilla, Rita and Alek Brave. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 1 son Scott. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum with Gerald Morrical, Alek, Jerry, Priscilla, Rita, Larry and Donald Brave serving as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Good Samaritan Village. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
