Betty L. Green Harris, 93, of Mountain Home departed this life, Thursday October 14, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Born June 1, 1929 in Gans, OK daughter of the late Robert Ray Childers and Mandy England Childers. She was also preceded in death by her adoptive parents, John and Eliza Stimson of Gans, OK; Christopher Stork of Fayetteville, AR; husband Stanley W. Green; numerous brothers and sisters; and Bob Harris.

A private family burial will be held at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR.

Betty, affectionately known to all as Meme, is survived by her daughter Paula Stork (Steve) of Gassville, AR; her son John Green of Bryant, AR; three grandchildren Kim Green (Jason) of Fort Smith, AR; Wesley Scott Lambert (Katelyn) of Manassas, VA; Ashleigh Margala (Edward) of Monclova, OH; David Stork of Fayetteville, AR; and six great grandchildren Reiss Efurd (Payton), Abby Clemons, Will Green, Jack Green all of Fort Smith, AR; Hailey Lambert of Russellville, AR and William Lambert of Manassas, VA.

Meme will be missed greatly by all those who loved her. We will always cherish the special times we spent with her camping, baking her most wonderful desserts, playing endless card games and hearing her say, “I love you too, darlin’.”
