A Funeral Service for Betty Lou Vlasic of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Monday, October 13, 2014, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Stan Swiderski as Celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday, October 12, 2014, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with a Vigil Service at 4:00 pm.
Betty passed away October 9, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. She was born April 10, 1934, in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard and Laura Nickol Raupp. She married Frank Vlasic on July 19, 1980 at West Chicago, Illinois and was a homemaker. Betty moved to Mountain Home 25 years ago from West Chicago and was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. She enjoyed being with her family, her church and all the church activities, traveling, playing cards and her dog, Jack.
Betty is survived by her husband, Frank Vlasic of Mountain Home, AR; three daughters, Debbie (Justin) Goforth of Katy, TX, Erika Vlasic of Omaha, NE and Veronica Trowbridge of Jefferson City, MO; two grandchildren, James (Sarah) Trowbridge and Adam Trowbridge; four great-grandchildren, Isabelle Russell, Mila Trowbridge, Alexia Gust and Adalynn Trowbridge; brother, Robert (Barbara Ann) Raupp of Harvard, IL and sister, Maryann (Frank) Eder of Rockford, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Leroy, Ralph and Don Raupp.
Burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with James Trowbridge, Adam Trowbridge, Justin Goforth, Jim Schulte, Robert Goforth and Jim Peterson as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Eder, Vince Vlasic, Stanley Vlasic, Robert Raupp, Lou Altobelli, Len DiGati and Suad Durakovich.
