A Memorial Service for Bill Nash of Norfork, Arkansas, will be 1:30 pm, Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating.
Bill H. Nash went to be with his Lord on May 15, 2015, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 86. He was born June 7, 1928, in Ferris, Texas, the son of Jim and Ruth Breedlove Nash. He married Barbara Goff on March 2, 1954, at Pasadena, Texas. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran. He lived in Norfork since 1995, moving from the Houston, Texas area, where he retired as Maintenance Supervisor for Dixie Chemical Company.
In earlier years, Bill had a love for racing cars and motorcycles. His passion was for airplanes, even at one time building one of his own. Bill earned his Inspector's Authorization Certificate to inspect aircraft to put them back in service. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and a lifetime member of the NRA. Bill owned and operated Nash Aircraft Services. He was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church and The Gideon's International. His love for his Lord, family, and his church family were the most important things in his life.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Nash of Norfork, AR; two daughters, Kathy (Patrick) Atkinson of Norfork, AR and Susan (Charles) Reed of Huxley, TX; granddaughter, Heather (James) Hamilton, of Deer Park, TX; great granddaughter, Avery Hamilton; his sister-in-law, Carolyn (Lee) Riddle, of Texas; brother-in-law, Ray Goff of Texas and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Hope Center at Twin Lakes Baptist Church.
