Billy Joe "Bucky" McGoldrick, 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in Mountain Home, AR. Billy was born on December 24, 1940, in West Plains, Missouri, to Joe Luther and Opal Marie Bennett McGoldrick. He graduated from Rock Island, Illinois High School. He started his railroad career with Rock Island Line, where he worked his way up to Yard Master before retiring and moving to Arkansas in 1981. He married Amelia on July 20, 1985 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was a member of the College and North Church of Christ. He enjoyed riding horses, fishing, golfing, and playing cards.
Billy is survived by his wife, Amy McGoldrick of Mountain Home, AR; son, Jim (Sherri) McGoldrick of Mountain Home, AR; two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Edwards of Milan, IL, and Leeanna (Ray) Calderwood of Little Rock, AR; step-son, Michel Uchtman of Kansas City, MO; step-daughter, Stephanie Uchtman of Mountain Home, AR; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Judy McGoldrick of Caulfield, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry McGoldrick; three sisters, Sherry Marie McGoldrick, Linda House, and Rosalie Carter; and brother-in-law, Bill Carter.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at College & North Church of Christ. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 2:00 pm at College & North Church of Christ, with Minister Kenneth Burton officiating. Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Tom Edwards, Jeremy McGoldrick, Scott Tyler, Tanner Batterton, Deano Busch, and Steven "Eric" Foster as pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made in Billy's name to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House, 774 Long Street, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
