Billy Parsons

A Memorial Service for Billy E. Parsons, 83, of Horseshoe Bend will be held Monday, May 28, 2012 at the North Arkansas Electric CO-OP, Orange Room, Salem, Arkansas. Billy passed away November 19, 2011 at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born August 22, 1928, at Spencer, West Virginia, the son of H. Brooks and Opal Bailey Parsons. He married Madie Baker on February 17, 1952, at Greenup, Kentucky, and was a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 24, Akron, Ohio, and a Union Steward. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Madie C. Parsons; 4 children, Larry E. (Sherry) Parsons of Deltona, Fl, Tarry A. (David) Graham of Orlando, FL, Garry W. (Cindy) Parson of Kent, OH and Sharry L. Clingan of Horseshoe Bend, AR; 1 sister, Retta Jo Darrough; 1 brother, Jimmy F. Parsons; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy E. Parsons, Jr; brothers, Charles E. and Bobby R. Parsons and sister, Wanda L. Smith. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
