Blanche Winters died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in Mountain Home. She was 90. Blanche Winters was born Wednesday, June 27, 1917 in Augusta, Arkansas, The daughter of Frank Nelson and Ethel Payne. She married Joseph Winters on December 27, 1934 at Jonesboro, Arkansas. She worked as a homemaker/nanny and lived in Mountain Home for 41 years moving from Long Beach, California. She was very active in the Ladies Mission Group at First Assembly of God Church, loved to needle point and entertain family and friends. She had a deep love for her family, the children she babysat for and her church work. Survivors: her daughter, Barbara (Herbert) Winters-LaPort of West Plains, MO, 6 grandchildren and her sister, Margaret Peobles of Little Rock, AR. Preceded in Death by: her parents, husband, Joseph Winters, 1 daughter, Alma Jean O'Briant, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation: 5-8 P.M., Friday, November 2 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Howell officiating. Burial: Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas Memorials: Arkansas Children's Hospital or First Assembly of God Church, Mountain Home, Arkansas
