Bobby "Bob" Kem Benton

Funeral Services for Bobby "Bob" Kem Benton of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tad Rogers and Pastor Dale Sykes officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 1:00 pm until service time at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Bob passed away September 28, 2017, in San Diego, California, at the age of 62. He was born June 28, 1955, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Bobby and Wilma Wood Benton. He worked as a Senior Business Consultant for International Services, Inc. He was of Presbyterian faith. He graduated from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro and was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He enjoyed golf, football and was an avid reader.

Bob is survived by his mother, Wilma (Bob) Jackson of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Elizabeth Benton of Denver, CO; daughter, Megan Benton of Bentonville, AR; uncle, Terry (Carol) Wood of Flippin, AR; step-brother, Scott (Paula) Jackson of Springdale, AR; step-sister, Cindy Jackson of Rogers, AR and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Dee Benton.

Burial will be in the Layton Cemetery, Yellville, Arkansas, with Storm Quattlebaum, Col. Tony Bell (ret.), Dr. John Shannon, Ronny Gold, Randy Hannah, Tom Taylor, Mike Moll and Fred Cathcart as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
