Bonnie Wood Fisher of Bull Shoals, AR, passed away June 23, 2022, in Bull Shoals, AR at the age of 93. Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Cheri A. Seley of Melrose Park, IL and Carol J. Seley of New York, NY; sister, Betty Wood Johnson (Jim J. Johnson deceased) of Arkansas City, KS, 2 stepchildren, 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Molly Bennett Wood; husbands, Eldon L. Seley and Harry J. Fisher; brothers, Dwain Wood and Paul Wood; and half siblings, Leo Wood, Jack Wood, Ruth Wood Sandrock, Belvin Myers and Willie Myers.
Bonnie was born February 9, 1929, in Cedarvale, Kansas. She married the love of her life, Eldon L. Seley on February 9, 1950, in San Diego, California; he sadly passed away in 1969. She retired with her second husband to Bull Shoals, AR in 1978 and resided there ever since.
Bonnie worked throughout her life as a secretary for many firms, including Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville, IL. She was a dedicated, voracious volunteer for many organizations including the Girl Scouts, the Bull Shoals Friends of the Library, the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church and the Hoevel-Barnett Post 1341 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also an Alderman for the city of Bull Shoals, AR.
Those who knew Bonnie know she was always immaculately dressed with her hair done and her nails were never without polish. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, working crossword puzzles and enjoyed having her one scotch daily at 5.
A Memorial Service for Bonnie will be at 10am, July 26, 2022, at the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Charles “Pete” Beevers officiating. Burial will be in the Naperville Cemetery.
