A Funeral Service for Brian Blasdel of Fayetteville, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, November 3, 2017, at Riverside Church of Christ, Gassville, Arkansas, with Brother Ken Avaritt officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until the time of service at the church.
Brian passed away October 29, 2017, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 46. He was born November 18, 1970, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the son of Earl and Janis Huett Blasdel. He was a musician and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He obtained an associates degree from Crowder College where he played baseball on a scholarship. He then transferred on a baseball scholarship to UALR and then graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelors degree in Animal Science. He loved to play music with his friends, cooking, traveling and visiting new places. His most valuable time was spent with his daughter, River and his nieces and nephews. He loved life, reading and studying his bible.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Josephine River Blasdel of Fayetteville, AR; step-daughter, Tennessee McClellan of Fayetteville, AR; parents, Earl and Janis Blasdel of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers, Steven (Jackie) Blasdel of Glenwood, IA and Dallas (Alisa) Blasdel of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Lacey (Ryan) Robb of Mountain Home, AR and six nieces and nephews, Stevie, Tori, Avery, Hagan, Brylee and Parks.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Verlin and Eva Ruth Huett and paternal grandparents, Earl and Dorothy Blasdel.
Burial will be in the Custer-Herron Cemetery, Henderson, Arkansas, with Ryan Robb, Keith Knight, Matt Butler, Warren Douglas, Brian House, Jason Rucker, David Sexton and Larry Blasdel, Jr. as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hagan Robb, Parks Blasdel, Dallas Blasdel, Steven Blasdel, Greg Knight, Bart Davenport, Chris Huett, Andy Douglas and Randy Terrill. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and United States Army Honor Guards.
