Brian Joseph Studnar-Griesi road off into the sunset August 30, 2023 at 6:24 pm at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by his parents, Joseph and Ellen Griesi, his sister Melissa Hubbard (Andy Jackson), niece Macie, nephew, Brodie, daughter, Miss Laikyn Grace, Fiancé ,Tristan Massey, Tristan's mother, Crystal Baker the fabulous staff from ARORA Organ Donation and Tissue Bank plus many UAMS staff.
Brian was accepted as an organ and tissue donor and ARORA gave him his honor walk at UAMS on September 1, 2023 at 2:54 p.m. His heroic gifts of life will help more than 20 individuals in need of life-saving donations. Brian lived a full life, he was a t-ball and rookie league baseball player, soccer player, and member of the swim team. He wrote and won poetry contests at a young age of ten. Brian was an extremely talented musician who began playing drums as early as six months old sitting on his fathers’ lap. At age eight, Brian wrote his first ballad on the piano. He began playing his original songs with his acoustic guitar that are available on YouTube under "Brian Griesi Playing Guitar". By high school, he had written Christian music by the age of fourteen and was asked to perform for the United Methodist Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas twice and The Biker Church of Gamaliel, Arkansas singing his original songs. Brian helped the Mountain Home High School Bomber Band (One Band One Sound) to bring home five first place trophies at 2017, Vahalla International Marching Band Festival in Springfield, Missouri. Brian was selected into the All-Regional Band three years in a row for high school students in Arkansas. He played a solo on the drums with “Dallas Brass” the brass quintet from Dallas, Texas when Mr. Tom Chetnick invited The Quintet to perform with our MHHS Band at Dunbar Auditorium. Brian also had a drum solo his junior year as he led the drum line on the Quads in the 2017-2018 school year. Brian joined JR ROTC and with the 2016-2017 squadron traveling to Vanderbilt University, Tennessee and helped sweep the marching competition. Brian’s music progressed into “Rap” with his life constantly changing at the age of fourteen. His songs can be enjoyed by googling “Sound Cloud; Brian Griesi” . The family’s favorite song is “Tomei” an all original with two of his friends that was written on October 28, 2018. Brian to this day played the piano, drums, base, acoustic and electric guitar, plus all percussion instruments.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Laikyn Grace Griesi; his parents, Joseph and Ellen Griesi; sister, Melissa Hubbard (Andy Jackson); niece, Macie; nephew, Brodie; Fiancée, Tristan Massey; grandmother, Margaret Stoops; eight uncles; ten aunts; fifty-three cousins; Rufus Wayne, his faithful dog and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 9, 2023 at 4:00 PM with his cousin, Shane Coker, Youth Pastor officiating at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home, AR. Burial will be private.
