Buna Carroll

Mrs. Carroll was born December 8, 1918 at Harrison, Arkansas, to Vern Miles and Sytha Mae Couch Kellogg. She married Dewayne Garvin Carroll on March 24, 1940 at Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a homemaker. Buna May lived in Mountain Home since 1951, moving from Harrison, Arkansas. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and also served on the First Baptist Church Building Commitee. She also enjoyed traveling and camping after retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Good Samaritan. Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Garvin of Mountain Home; one daughter, Carolyn May (Ken) Necessary of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one sister, Earnestine Oliver of Klamath Falls, Oregon; three grandchildren, Mark, Cathy (John), Steve (Mary); four great grandchildren, Nicole, Makensie, Megan, and Nicholas. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral: Funeral Service for Buna May Carroll of Mountain Home will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at First Baptist Church with Dr. David Johnson and Rev. Max Pyron officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Harrison, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Youth or The Glen Unit at Good Samaritan Village. Honorary Bearers: The First Baptist Church Deacons. Active Bearers: Frank Huckaba, Jim Sommer, Ralph Harrison, Kenny Darr, Stewart Rogers, Russell Miller, and Robert Nelson.
