Burl Kratzer

Burl William Kratzer was born at Miami County, IN to Orval and Dorothy Kratzer on August 7, 1924. He married his beloved Peggy Hackley after a 21 day courtship on August 19, 1956 at Kokomo, IN. Burl retired from the United States Forest Service in 1986 after 21 years of service. He was a Fire Control Officer. He loved to hunt and fish and moved to the area in 1991 from Montana because of the lake. Burl William Kratzer entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 910 Walnut Ave. at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 1 day. Burl is survived by his wife Peggy of the home; two sons, Keith Kratzer (Nancy) of Columbia Falls, Montana and Kevin Kratzer ( Marlee) of Williamstown, WV; one daughter, Becky Mundy of Tarpon Springs, FL; one brother, Darl Kratzer (Loretta) of Warren, IN; five grandsons, Boone (Lori), Buck, Clark, Paul and Todd Kratzer; three grandaughters, Danella Miller (Jarrell), Lindsay Jones (Tyler) and Carolyn Kratzer; and six great-grandchildren, Tyrel, Stetson, Ciara, Shyanne, Mayze Marie, and Bella Grace. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
