Butch Petersen

Funeral Services for Butch Petersen of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 12:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, Arkansas with Deacon Bob Crawford officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home, with military honors at 11:30.

Butch passed away June 20, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 71. He was born March 25, 1946, in Shakopee, Minnesota, the son of Harvey and Florence Jansen Petersen. He married Madlyn Mobley on March 31, 1971, in Shakopee, Minnesota, and worked as an Injection Molder for Actronix, Inc. Butch was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Butch lived in Bull Shoals since 1997, moving from Chaska, Minnesota. He was a dedicated catch and release fisherman, but his greatest love was being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Butch is survived by his wife, Madlyn Petersen of Bull Shoals, AR; two sons, Michael (Angie) Petersen of Shakopee, MN, and Thomas Petersen of Shakopee, MN; daughter, Diane Petersen of Shakopee, MN; four brothers, Larry Petersen of Montgomery, MN, Jim (JoAnn) Petersen of New Prague, MN, Tom (Luanne) Petersen of Carver, MN, and Terry Petersen of Shakopee, MN; five sisters, Jean (Howard) Krohn of Shakopee, MN, Arlene (Duane) Sager of Shakopee, MN, Linda Eimermann of Shakopee, MN, Monica Petersen of Shakopee, MN, and Janice Vohnoutka of Shakopee, MN; seven grandchildren and great-grandchild, Little Butch.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
