Candee Williams

Candee Lynn Williams of Gamaliel, Arkansas, passed away September 23, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 60. She was born January 16, 1964, in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Chuck and Sandy Craycraft Mefford. She married her best friend, Charlie Williams, on June 12, 1999 at their home in Flippin, Arkansas. Candee was an outstanding cook and put her heart and soul into the food she made for others. She dedicated 24 years to cooking at Ole Mill Tavern (previously Ole Chi Mill) and worked her way to kitchen manager. Candee had a talent for arranging fruit trays and found great joy in creating them for special occasions. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, and riding the side-by-side with her husband. She was incredibly caring and was a saving grace to many. Candee never knew a stranger and poured out her love to anyone in need.

Candee is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Charlie Williams of Gamaliel, AR; mother, Sandy Mefford of Oakland, AR; siblings, Kimberlea R. Parker of Gamaliel, AR, and Terry Mefford of Springfield, MO; children, Mark (Crystal) Smith of Gassville, AR, Tiffanie (Brandon) Vazquez of Gamaliel, AR, Ryan (Destiny) Hodges of Gassville, AR, and Amanda Williams of Gamaliel, AR; mother-in-law, Debbie Williams of Elkins, AR; sisters-in-law, Angie (Mark) Herlihy of Goldsboro, NC, and Kim Williams of Pea Ridge, AR; brother-in-law, Justin (Nichole) Williams of Elkins, AR; thirteen grandchildren; many nieces nephews; and a host extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A Celebration of Life for Candee will be 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Ole Mill Tavern, 3948, US-62, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Family and friends are invited to stop by and share their love for Candee.
