Funeral Services for Carl Ira Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Mike Haney and Brother Remil Layton officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Mr. Jones died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at his residence, at the age of 87. He was born June 25, 1923 in Marseilles, Illinois, the son of Edward and Phoebe Gruhlkey Jones. He worked as a Laborer for Amberg's File and Index and lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 2003 from Casper, Wyoming. He was a member of the Wise?s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville, Arkansas. Carl is survived by 2 daughters, Janice Elaine Neel of Mountain Home, AR and Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Kankakee, IL; 3 sons, Lonnie Ira Jones of Evansville, WY, Russell Porter Jones of Casper WY and George Edward Jones of Casper, WY; 23 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his church family He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Marshall Jones, and Donald Paul Jones, and sister; Gertrude Amelia Wiley. Burial will be in the River View Cemetery, Marseilles, Illinois with family as pallbearers. A Memorial Fund has been set up at First Security Bank, Mountain Home or donations made to Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
