A Funeral Service for Carl Edward King of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey, Brother Bill Hughes and Pastor Jerry Hart officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the church.
Carl passed away November 6, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 91. He was born September 14, 1927, in Campbell, Missouri, the son of Roy and Cleta Allen King. Carl was a Army veteran of World War II. He married Reta Carolyn Beal on November 5, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas and worked for General Motors. Carl lived in Mountain Home since moving from St. Louis, Missouri in 1989. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling and camping. He was known for his sense of humor and quick wit.
Carl is survived by his wife, Reta Carolyn King of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Vickie (Larry) Wortham of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Marie Davis of Puxico, MO; grandchildren, Beth, Scott, Andrea, Steven and Kris; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lynn Edward King; three brothers, Kenneth King, Gerald King, and Robert King and two sisters, Mary Jane Harrison and Lois Mae Loida.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Kris King, Steve King, Scott Dollar, Phillip Ledbetter, Perry Hart and Rhonda Ledbetter as pallbearers.
