Carl Shelton

Visitation for Carl A. Shelton of Yellville, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be immediately following at Pine Mountain Cemetery, Yellville, AR. Carl passed away December 1, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 72. He was born December 6, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Marion Titus Shelton. He married JoAnn Ellsworth May 14, 1960, at Des Moines, IA and worked as a Custodian for the Flippin School District. Carl lived in Yellville since 1975, moving from Des Moines, IA. Carl is survived by his wife, JoAnn Shelton of Yellville, AR; four sons, Ryan of Flippin, AR, Robby of Yellville, AR, Jimmy of Yellville, AR and Randy Shelton of Flippin, AR; daughter, Karla Davis, of Harrison, AR; four brothers, Howard, Jerry, Jimmy and Davey Shelton; and four sisters, Betty Smith, Mary Lou Leach, Norma Van Gorp, and Joy Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Carl Rodger Shelton. Burial will be in the Pine Mountain Cemetery, with Jimmy, Ryan, Randy, Dustin, Cory, and Elijah Shelton as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Robby Shelton. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
