A Funeral Service for Carol Ann Lorek of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church with Father Henry Grodecki as Celebrant. Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Carol passed away October 7, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 77. She was born September 15, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Anthony and Helen Katusie Asselborn. She married Robert Lorek on August 31, 1955, at Cicero, Illinois and worked as a technician for UOP, INC. Carol lived in Mountain Home since 1992, moving from Indian Head Park, Illinois. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, Lady Elks, and Lake Norfork Boat Club. Carol loved spending time on the lake, swimming, fishing ,boating, and she loved to dance.

Carol is survived by his husband, Robert Lorek of Mountain Home, AR: three daughters, Nancy (Howard) Ludwig of Lemont, IL, Jeanne (Ted) Grodecki of Cresthill, IL and Sandra (Jim) Thompson of Alpharetta, GA; son, Robert John Lorek, Jr. of Lincoln, NE; two brothers, Philip Asselborn of Elmhurst, IL and Dennis Asselborn of Westchester, IL; two sisters, Arlene (Edward) Kauzlarien of Plainfield, IL and Diane Pignato of Westchester, IL; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Inurnment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
