Caroline Christophersen died Sunday, April 19, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 91. She was born Monday, December 31, 1917 in Palatine, Illinois, the daughter of August and Bertha Manzow Toppel. She married Paul J. Christophersen on June 20, 1938 at Woodstock, Illinois and worked as a waitress and cook. Caroline lived in Mountain Home since 1984 moving from Amherst, WI. She was a volunteer for the voting poll in Wisconsin. She loved arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, plastic arts, ornaments, etc. Survivors: Caroline Christophersen is survived by her daughter, Virginia M. Davis of Mountain Home, AR, 5 grandchildren, Debbie (Ron) Gerleve of Palatine, IL, Paul (Ann) Werner of Garden City, GA, Cathy Sharp of Mountain Home, AR, Jennie Pepitone of Mountain Home, AR and Sam (Belinda) Davis of Republic, MO, 3 step-grandchildren, Jean Ann Thompson of Bradenton, FL, Roberta Woods of North Chicago, IL and Georgeann Sherman of Portland, OR, several step-great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, 1 niece, Marie Heinsohn of Delavan, WI and nephew, Harold Ritter of Elkhorn, WI. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul J. Christophersen, son Roy P. Christophersen, daughter, Carol Lee Shaw, grandaughter, Vickie Lee Warner and sister Alma Ritter. Funeral: Funeral services for Caroline M. Toppel Christophersen of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mike Shy officiating. Burial: Burial will be 10:00 A.M.
