Carolyn D Hoffman

Carolyn Dawn Hoffman of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away October 15, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90. She was born April 29, 1933, in Elmhurst, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Beulah Woodle Jacobs. She married Robert on May 4, 1952, in Downers Grove, Illinois and worked for many years at Jais Printing in Lisle, IL. Carolyn lived in Bull Shoals since moving from Westmont, Illinois, in 1988. Carolyn was a member of the Bull Shoals Methodist Church, Lakeview Community Club and the Red Hat Ladies. She was a supporter of the Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts and a caller for Telecare. Carolyn was a woman of strong faith who lived her faith by caring for others. She loved playing cards with her friends, cooking and crafting and had a silly sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Sharon (Greg) Garcia of W. Chicago, IL; Robert (Teresa) Hoffman, Jr. of Bull Shoals, AR, Debra (Steven) Oliver of Lakeview, AR and Michael (Cathy) Hoffman of Mountain Home, AR, a legacy of a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and loving companion, Larry Hazen of Midway, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Hoffman; son, Steven Hoffman and brother, Kenneth Jacobs.

Funeral Services for Carolyn at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 20, 2023, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Charles "Pete" Beevers officiating. A Visitation will be from 1PM until time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Garden West, Oakbrook Terrace, IL on Wednesday, October 25 at 10AM.
