Carolyn Lansdown

Carolyn Sue Lansdown of Calico Rock, Arkansas, passed away September 26, 2024, in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 74. She was born January 3, 1950, in Creswell, Arkansas, the daughter of Frank and Margie Coburn Dillard. Carolyn grew up in Kansas and graduated from Baldwin City Highschool in 1967. She returned to Calico Rock in 1970. She married Troy Lansdown on February 28, 1995 in Jordan, Arkansas. Carolyn enjoyed going to yard sales, thrift stores, and antique stores. She was talented at sewing and made everything from quilts and aprons to bag holders and curtains. She was a dedicated member of Pleasant Valley Community Church in Calico Rock and sang in the choir. Carolyn had a big heart and was always thinking of others. She was always buying little gifts for those she cared about and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kind and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Cody Dickerson of Springdale, AR; daughters, Carlene (Joe) Jones of Jordan, AR, and Cara (Cain) Foster of Norfork, AR; siblings, Bill (Carlyn) Dillard of Kansas City, KS, Jerry (Sue) Dillard of Branson, MO, Judy (Robert) Dyer of Mountain Home, AR, Joyce (George) Clark of Jordan, AR, Rick (Gail) Dillard of Overland Park, KS, Frances (Keith) Steiner of Lawrence, KS, Diana (Cobb) Wooten of Mountain Home, AR, and Mike (Dana) Dillard of Calico Rock, AR; aunts, Shirley Collins, of Baldwin City, KS, Barbara Turner of Mountain Home, AR, and Jeannie McClellan of Calico Rock, AR; uncle, Paul Coburn of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Cayla Blanchard, Cory McGowan, Cesha Causbie, Joe Jones, Jr., Coty Foster, Cambree Foster, Caleb Foster, and Caylee Foster; and several of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lansdown; brother, David Dillard; and sister-in-law, Carol Dillard. 

Visitation will be Sunday, September 29, 2024, 3:00 pm, at Pleasant Valley Community Church, 2574, Hwy 5, Calico Rock, Arkansas, 72519. A Funeral Service for Carolyn will follow at 4:00 pm with Monte Neal officiating.
