She was born November 9, 1943 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Orville Rue and Clara Della Long Whitehead. She married Robert Phillips on March 28, 1964 at Gainesville, Missouri. Carolyn lived in Marshall, Arkansas for 10 years moving from Southwest City, Missouri.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Bob Phillips of St. Joe, AR; 2 sons, Charles (Susan) Phillips of Neosho, MO and Jessie Ray Phillips of St. Joe, AR; 1 brother, James Whitehead of Springfield, MO; 3 sisters, Shirley (Don) Robinson of Searcy, AR, Mary (Paul) Schildknecht of Collins, OK and Janie Whitehead of Springfield, MO and 4 grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
