She was born February 26, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Oliver and Laurayne Kensinger. She attended Purdue University and worked toward her Bachelor's Degree. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She met the love of her life, James Pinkerton, who graduated from Purdue University as a Mechanical Engineer. They were married on March 26, 1953, at Indianapolis, Indiana and she was a homemaker. Carolyn lived in Mountain Home, since 1997 moving from Grayling, Michigan. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and was a sports fan. Carolyn is survived by her husband, James Pinkerton of Mountain Home, AR, two daughters, Teri (John) Stieg of Templeton, CA and Pam (Gene) Cygal of Mountain View, MO and four grandchildren, Jennie (Jim) Voorhees of Brea, CA, Johnny Stieg of Santa Barbara, CA, Krissie Stieg of Santa Barbara, CA and Jaime Cygal of Mountain View, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kaye Biery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or any local hospice. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
