Carolyn died January 19, 2008 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. She was 58 years old. Carolyn was born February 22, 1949 at Sycamore, Illinois to William and Maxine Harding. She graduated from Burlington Central High School in 1967 and from Continental Academy Beauty School as a licensed beautician. She married Robert F. Sebby on August 30, 1969 at Lily Lake, Illinois. She was a member of Fox River Lutheran Church in Sheridan, Illinois. Carolyn and Bob lived in Bull Shoals for 30 years after moving from Sheridan, Illinois. Carolyn?s determination allowed her to return to school when her children were young earning her degree and returning to work as a Registered Nurse. She was known for her beautiful smile and her ability to brighten any situation. Carolyn had a contagious laugh, and loved to joke, dance and sing karaoke. She enjoyed shopping, bingo with her friends and trips to the casinos. Most of all Carolyn loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and always found special ways to delight them. Survivors: by husband, Robert Sebby of Bull Shoals; son, Bill Sebby(Chris) of Flippin, Arkansas; daughters, Ruth Giese(Brian) of Montgomery, Illinois and Jennifer Buchanan(Jim) of Oswego, Illinois; mother Maxine Harding of Lily Lake, Illinois; sisters Marilyn McConnaughay(David) of Sugar Grove, Illinois and Diane Hartung(Gary) of Genoa, Illinois; brother Russell Harding(Isabel) of Plantation, Florida and Grandchildren Lauren, Grace and Caroline Buchanan and Jacob, Reagan, and Justin Giese. Preceded in Death by: her Father. Funeral: A Celebration of life for Carolyn Jean Sebby RN of Bull Shoals, Arkansas will be 4-7 P.M. with a word of prayer by Reverend Jerry Backus at 6 PM followed by an opportunity for special remembrances of Carolyn by family and friends on Monday January 21, 2008 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, Arkansas with a Gathering of Friends immediately following at the family home.
