Catherine Babcock

Catherine Babcock died Saturday, August 23, 2008 in Flippin at the age of 92. Catherine Babcock was born Wednesday, May 10, 1916 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of James and Eleanor Boness Skeffington. She married Monroe L. Babcock on February 11, 1939 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She worked as a Switchborard Operator for E.R. Wagner Co.. Catherine lived in Lakeview for 2 years moving from West Bend, Wisconsin. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholilc Church. Catherine was a social butterfly and loving mother to everyone. She was one of a kind and family always came first. Survivors: Catherine Babcock is survived by 2 daughters, Kathleen (Richard) Roberts of Lakeview, AR, and Patricia (Daniel) Hickey of Hudson,, Ohio, 5 grandchildren, Lisa Pfeiffer, Craig Roberts, Anne Chase, Paul (Maria) Grimm, Jennifer (Richard) Grimm, and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: her parents, husband and 1 brother, Robert Skeffington Funeral: Services for Catherine Elizabeth "Bettie" Babcock of Lakeview, AR, will be private.
