A Memorial Mass for Catherine Elizabeth Baun of Janesville, Wisconsin, formerly of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 18, 2014, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Stan Swiderski, as Celebrant.
Catherine passed away September 11, 2014, in Janesville, at the age of 94. She was born December 14, 1919, in Halder, Wisconsin, the daughter of Felix and Katherine Krieg Michal. She married Wilfred Baun on April 26, 1943, at Natchez, Mississippi and was a noted for her unique parties, cake decorating, and creative writing. Catherine and her husband Bill, lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas, for more than thirty years, after relocating from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2010, she moved to Janesville to be closer to her son, Terry, and his wife Linda. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, the Moose Ladies Auxiliary, and the Elks Club. She and her husband volunteered at the Bargain Box resale shop for many years to benefit Baxter Regional Medical Center.
Catherine is survived by her son, Terry (Linda) Baun of Janesville; two grandchildren, Leslie (James) Wood and Stacey (Nick) Overman of both of Noblesville, IN; and two great-grandchildren, Cayleigh and Logan, and many friends in both Wisconsin and Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
