Charlene Margie Martin

A Funeral Service for Charlene Margie Martin of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Friday, January 19, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.R. Cousins, officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.

Charlene passed away peacefully January 15, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. She was born August 13, 1930, in Forrest City, Arkansas, the daughter of Leo and Sadie Kircher Richards. She married Donald Martin, Sr. on December 10, 1949, in Monterey, California and worked as a retail sales clerk. Charlene and Don moved to Clarkridge in 1984, moving from Rockford, Illinois. She relocated to Mountain Home in 2008, following Don's passing. She was a member of the East Oakland Baptist Church and enjoyed her many friends from Park West Apartments and Riverlodge Assisted Living.

Charlene is survived by her three sons, Donald (Robin) Martin, Jr. of Machesney Park, IL, Harlan (Lynnette) Martin of Roscoe, IL and Marlan (Fawn) Martin of Rockton, IL: two daughters, Donna (Bill) Manley of Gladewater, TX and Terry (Gordy) Skattum of Saint Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren, Martin, Kathleen, Jennifer, Megan, Asa, Laura, Tesa, Chelsea, Justine, Darcy and Paige and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Eugene Richards and sister-in-law, Josephine Richards.

Burial will be in the Bentley Ridge Cemetery, Clarkridge, Arkansas immediately following funeral services.
