Charles D. Bryan, 81, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, born, December 16, 1931, in East St. Louis, Illinois, passed away, Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in Arkansas.
Charlie was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in South Korea during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Continental Can Company in St. Louis, Missouri. He enjoyed music and in his early years played guitar. After retirement and moving to Mountain Home, Arkansas, he became a serious fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Margarette T. Bryan, nee Hochstatter; his parents, Claude and Josephine, nee Figi, Bryan; and two sisters, Erma Bruno and Florence Pool.
He is survived by his second wife, Barbara Bryan, nee Martin; his children, David Bryan, Susan Brotherton, Josephine Schurnman, Patricia (Brad) Hillman, and Robin (Ron) Ward; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, siblings, Mary Ellen Woodward, Grace Wolf, Evelyn Steffan, Claude Bryan, Jr, Josephine (Don) Ballard, Carrol (John) Stahlman, Aaron(Ruby) Bryan, Marlene "Susie" (Julius) Magyar, and Vistor (Norma) Bryan; a brother-in-law, Edgar Pool; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral: Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2013, at the funeral home, with Dr. Jim Kerr officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
