Charles Allen Burch

Charles “Chuck” Burch, 79 of Oakland, Arkansas, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. He was born March 24, 1945 the son of Jewel Connelly Burch and Roy Burch in Alexandria, Louisiana. He married Roxine Robinson on November 12, 1965 in Springfield, Illinois. 

Chuck is survived by his wife, Roxine; son, Thomas (Christine) Burch; daughters, Kelly Burch and Shawna (Jeff) Burris; seven grandchildren, Michael and Dominic Burch, Brianna Burch, Beth Ann Wall, Kimberly, Rebecca and Charles (CJ and Elli) Burris; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill Burch.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild.

Chuck was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He retired from IBEW Local 193, Springfield, Illinois. He was a 50 year member of the local. He was an avid fisherman, amazing at woodworking.  Chuck was a quiet, soft spoken man, and would do anything for his friends. He lived his dash to the fullest!

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Funeral Service for Chuck will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Marshall Lum officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and United States Air Force Honor Guards. Burial will be in the Joel Hall Cemetery, in Athens, Illinois on May 3, 2024 at 1:00pm with Pastor Mike Nichols officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks, 811 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, Arkansas, 72653.
