A Private Family Graveside Service for Charles Melvin Douglas of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be held at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
Melvin passed away September 17, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 77. He was born March 13, 1940, in Lincoln, Illinois, the son of Charles and Velma Dennison Douglas. He married Marilyn Dirks on August 11, 1963, in Greenview, Illinois, and was a farmer for his whole life. Melvin lived in the Mountain Home area since moving from Illinois, in 2015. He was of Methodist faith and he enjoyed showing cattle and dairy goats, fishing, and camping. Melvin especially loved to spend time with his family.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Marilyn Douglas of Mountain Home, AR; two daughters, Kathy Lynn of Mountain Home, AR, and Karen (Dennis) Hull of Mason City, IL; sister, Linda (Russ) Lockenour of MI; three grandchildren, Alex Hull, Jacob Lynn, and Kirbey Nannen; and five great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Douglas and Kenneth Douglas; and a son-in-law, Steven Lynn.
