Charles Leo Harris was born May 5, 1943 at Brockwell, Arkansas the son of Lemon Harris and Velma Cantrell Harris. He married Loretta Faye Dockins, May 30, 1964, in Calico Rock, Arkansas. He had been a resident of the Gassville area since moving from Calico Rock in 1971, and was a Material Handler for Baxter Lab for 31 years. He was a member of Gassville Baptist Church, Yellville Masonic Lodge #117, Gassville Old Time Gospel Quartet , and the Ham Radio Club. He loved camping and singing. Charles Leo Harris entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2004 at Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 61 years, 0 months, and 8 days. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Faye, 2 sons, Darren (Frances) Harris of Flippin, Johnny (Karen) Harris of Flippin, 1 daughter, Julie (Casey) Stroup of Cotter, Arkansas, 4 grandchildren, John Anthony Harris, Dalton Andrew Marler-Stroup, Grace Whitney Stroup, Glory Hope Stroup, 3 sisters, Bernadine Maye of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Verna Lee Grice of Sage, Arkansas, Sue Jenkins of Bakersville, California, mother-and-father-in-law, Carl & Sally Krug, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers. Visitation: from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, May 15, with family receiving friends from 4:00 to 7:00. Funeral: Funeral Services were held at 2:00, Sunday at Gassville Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Wise and Reverend Wayne Wood officiating, and Masonic Service by Yellville Masonic Lodge #117. Burial: Gassville Cemetery in Gassville, Arkansas Memorials: Gassville Baptist Church Youth Group Honorary Bearers: Johnny Lovelace, Kenny Marberry, Paul Hamby, Robert Simmons and James Gilliland.
