Charles Everett Anderson Hood, Sr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away October 19, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 62. He was born January 10, 1959, in West Memphis, Arkansas, the son of Raymond and Lorene Hood. When he was working, he was a truck driver and was known for his big heart and kindness to all who knew him. He enjoyed watching the Razorbacks win or lose. He spent his free time taking his grandson on hunting and fishing trips and enjoying his new found love of playing darts with his friends. His dream was to live out his retirement in Mt. Home close to family. Charles lived in Mountain Home since moving from West Memphis, Arkansas, in 2021. Most of all he enjoyed spending as much time with his family anytime he could. Family was everything to him.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Alaina Geyer of West Memphis, AR; son, Charles "Andy" Hood, Jr. of Holiday, FL; grandson, Landan Geyer; and siblings John Hood Sr., Ronald Gene Hood, Steven Hood, James Hood, Diann Creech, Beverly Bolden, Vicky Howell, and Sara Hood-Howell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
Memorials may be made to any animal shelter.
