Visitation for Charles Howard Lee of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery immediately following visitation, with Reverend Jerrel Venable officiating. Military Honors provided by Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard. Charles went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 7, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 91. He was born February 16, 1920 on a farm in Pawnee, Illinois, Sangamon County, the son of Samuel Roulette and Fannie Mamie Davis Lee. He married Betty Jane Hemm on August 30, 1941 in E. Moline, Illinois. He retired as a semi-truck driver for Sims Motor Co. out of Moline, Illinois after over 30 years. Charles Lee was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Charles lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1983 moving from Cambridge, Illinois. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboy fan. He would set for hours to tell his family of his trucking days and how he survived the great depression. He loved his family very much. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love and laughter and many friends. Charles is survived by 2 sons, Charles (Cindy) Lee of Midway, AR and Charles James Lee of Mountain Home, AR; 1 daughter, Doris Michaels of East Moline, IL; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 6 sisters; 2 brothers and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Church.
