A Memorial Service for Charles Louis Reppell, Jr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Joshua Passmore officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Charles passed away May 10, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90. He was born August 8, 1925, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Charles and Minnie Ruth Beckham Reppell, Sr. Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He married Helen Maxine Thompson on July 17, 1987, at Harrisburg, Arkansas and worked as a State Police Officer for the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He retired from Troop G with over 20 years of service. Charles was a lifetime resident of the Mountain Home area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors and golf.
Charles is survived by his wife, Helen Maxine Reppell of Mountain Home, AR; son, Michael (Jodi) Qualls of Mountain Home, AR; four grandchildren, Madeline, Hannah, Matt and Brad Qualls and three great-grandchildren, Mason, Madeline and Mariah.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and United States Navy Honor Guards.
