Charles Norman Reyome

Charles Norman Reyome, Sr., 76 of Mountain View, AR passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born February 20, 1938, in Malone, NY to Maurice & Harriet Reyome.

He married Patricia Ottman of Rome, NY, his high school sweetheart in 1957 and were married 57 wonderful years. Together they raised a family of 6 children; Dale, Chuck Jr., Keith, Sheri Lynn, Robert and James. He was the grandfather of eleven children and the great grandfather of seven children.

After serving 4 years in the Navy he continued his civil service career as a Superintendent of Ship Building - Electrical Division on numerous ships. He graduated from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA in 1975 with an Associate in Arts degree. He began his career at Long Beach Naval Shipyard and retired from SUP-ship San Francisco after 39 years of service. During his civil service career he received countless plaques, awards and certificates of recognition for outstanding service and dedication.

With his love for country music, horses and good old fashioned fun, he took his children across country many times instilling a sense of family and togetherness as well as adventure into each of his children. He always worked hard to provide his children with a home that they would be proud of. He loved to entertain and bring people together. He had an amazing quick wit and many of his one liners will be remembered and cherished by all.

His simple philosophy was to work hard and be the best at what you do. He was extremely good with his hands and taught his children to be craftsman by working on projects of all sorts.
