A Funeral Service for Charles Treat of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, August 15, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Noel Moore officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service.
Charles passed away August 7, 2016, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 78. He was born January 12,1938, in Big Flat, Arkansas, the son of Albert and Cordelia Campbell Treat. He married Nola Wilson on February 2, 1963, at Onia, Arkansas. He worked at Mar-Bax Shirt Factory for 30 years, and after retiring, owned and operated 62 Auto Sales. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, his car lot, hunting, gardening, and watching westerns.
Charles is survived by his wife, Nola Treat of Gassville, AR; daughter, Shonda (Steve) Litty of Gassville, AR; son, Michael (Misty) Treat of Oakland, AR; grandchildren, Caroline and Brad Litty, Myca and Myia Treat; step-grandchildren, Kayla and Jimmy Blount and a sister, Eva Tilley of Mountain View, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Treat and Modean Wallis and brother, Layfette Treat.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Michael Treat, Brad Litty, Steve Litty, Larry West, Dale Plumlee, and Jeff Milford as pallbearers.
