Charles Kenneth Watson died Friday, March 14, 2008 in Norfork at the age of 78. Ken was born Sunday, January 19, 1930 in Bemis, Tennessee, son of Thomas Ezell and Gracie Lucille Moss Watson. He married Beatrice J. Bancroft on June 24, 1974 at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a self employed janitor. Ken lived in Norfork since 1993, moving from Oak Park, Illinois. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Service Employees Union Local #1 and a commisioner serving as treasurer of the Norfork Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member and treasurer of Adams Lodge in Norfork, a treasurer with the York Rite in Mountain Home, a member of the Wolf House Historical Society, and a retiree from Royal Arcanum. Survivors: Charles Watson is survived by 3 sons, Charles Watson, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Michael Watson of Cary, IL, and Barry Watson of Chicago, IL; daughter, Cathy Ann (George) Danhoff of Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and his first wife and mother of his children, Shirley Ann March of Chicago, IL. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beatrice; and his 2 sisters. Visitation: Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 18 at the Church. Funeral: Funeral services for Charles "Ken" Watson of Norfork, AR, will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Arkana Baptist Church, with Reverend Manuel Macks officiating.
