Charles A. "Chuck" Wedge was born March 29, 1923 at Lake Villa, Illinois to Clarence and Jessie McClelland Wedge. He married Lowayne A. Henningfield on June 18, 1949 at Racine, Wisconsin and worked as a Refrigeration Engineer for Ames Refrigeration and the Condell Hospital. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran, a member of the Ozark VFW Post 3246 and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He moved to Mountain Home in 1984 from Lake Villa, Illinois. He died Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 24 days. Survivors: His wife; Lowayne Wedge of Mountain Home, One son; Steve Wedge of Mountain Home, two daughters; Kathleen (Anthony) Hollech of Tomball, Texas and Barbara (Kenneth) Bridger of Pierre, South Dakota, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Preceded in Death by: Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Harry and Robert and one sister May Gelden Visitation: Visitation will be from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday Funeral: will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bruce McClendon Officiating. Military honors will be provided by North Central Arkansas Veteran's Council, Ozark VFW Post 3246 Honor Guard. Burial: Entombment will be in Kirby"s Tucker Memorial Mausoleum Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the First Presbyterian Church.
