Charlotte June (Keezer) Jones-Monroe of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away January 17, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88. She was born August 9, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Thelma Emmons Keezer. She married Neil on June 21, 1980, in Illinois. Charlotte lived in Mountain Home since moving from Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1995. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was known as the cross lady, as she would hand out crosses that she made, everywhere she went. She enjoyed making quilt blocks from scraps of fabric and volunteered for many local causes.
Charlotte is survived by her brother, Robert (Jimmye) Keezer; children, Debra Jones, Donald (Mary) Jones, Noreen (Ken) Schuetz, and Charles (Samantha) Monroe; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Phyllis Brown; and son, Vincent Monroe.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, January 24, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Pastor Sherman Gordius officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
