Charlotte Nowakowski

A Funeral Mass for Charlotte K. Nowakowski of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, December 18, 2015, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Christopher Okeke as Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, December 17, 2015, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm.

Charlotte passed away December 14, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91. She was born January 4, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Daniel and Charlotte Bayer Wind. After nursing school, Charlotte married William Kussmann, they were married over 40 years and had four sons. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago. Charlotte lived in Mountain Home since 1983, moving from Chicago. In 1991, she married George Nowakoski and was a member of St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church. Charlotte was an avid reader, reading over a thousand books and always did her crossword puzzle's with a pen. Everyone who knew Charlotte knew that she thoroughly enjoyed her retirement in Mountain Home.

Charlotte is survived by her four sons, Edward J. Kussmann of Madison, WI, Jerome W. (Ying Su) Kussmann of Huntington Beach, CA, Charles L. Kussmann of Mountain Home, AR and Eugene H. (Vickey) Kussmann of Hanover Park, IL and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers and one sister.

Burial will be in the Maynard Bend Cemetery, Gamaliel, AR, with her sons as pallbearers.
