A Graveside Service for Charlsie L. Huddleston of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Flippin Cemetery, with Reverend Steve Martin officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Keeter, Kirk Layton, David Wallace, Tyler Wallace, Doug Parnell and Ken Parnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Forrest Wood, Ronnie Erwin, Max Wilbanks, Kale Wallace and all her nephews.
Charlsie passed away December 23, 2015, in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 97. She was born December 4, 1918, in Bruno, Arkansas, the daughter of William "Will" Cherry and Eva DePriest Keeter. She married Hardy Huddleston on November 16, 1935 and was a farmer and homemaker. Charlsie lived in Flippin since childhood, moving from Bruno. She played for the Flippin Cardinals Basketball Team and they were undefeated state champions from 1933 through 1935. She was a very active member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, working outside and loved listening to all the Razorback basketball games. She was an exceptional neighbor and devoted her life to caring for them.
Charlsie is survived by her sister, Wanda Prince of St. Charles, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six sisters, Nova, Ruby, Dorothy, Eula, Madge and Ruie and five brothers, Rual, Russell, Ray, Floyd and Lloyd.
