Cheryl Lynn Woods of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away February 20, 2023, in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 63. She was born June 21, 1959, in Whittier, California, the daughter of Charles and Patricia Crowder Deakins. She married Morrell Woods June of 2002. Cheryl raised three children and cared for the home. She lived in Mountain Home. Cheryl loved Jesus deeply. She was best known for her favorite saying, "that ain't right" along with a few others known among family and friends. Cheryl Woods was a fighter. She fought for happiness her whole life. She fought for her family and was always at their defense. Her ultimate fight was to be well. She gave as much as she had to be with her family and loved them before herself. She was a lung transplant recipient, which gave her family six more years with their precious Cherrie. She was a beloved sister, mother, and grandmother.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Johnathan (Laura) Nesting of Terre Haute, IN, Danielle (Billy) Fitzgerald of Mountain Home, AR, and Brian (Martie) Crow of Fayetteville; brothers, Chuck, Jimmy, Joey, and Phillip; sisters, Geri and Barbie; and grandchildren, Wyatt, JaKub, Moriah, Xander, Bryleigh, Harley, Aleahya, Blade, Kylee, Levi, Abby, Wyatt, Moriah, Kaylynn, and Wesley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morrell Woods; mother, Patricia Yaw; stepfather, Ed Yaw; sister, Rayleen; and nephew, Ernest.
A Celebration of Life for Cheryl will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Seth Swetnam officiating.
