Chester Alan Price of Gassville, Arkansas, passed away December 23, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born September 8, 1934, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Chester and Irma Wright Price. He served two years in the National Guard. He married Janice Hagaman on June 11, 1994, in Story City, Iowa and was a Bridge Inspector for the Iowa Department of Transportation. Chester lived in Gassville since moving from Ames, Iowa in 1992. He was a member of the Bridge Baptist Church in Mountain Home. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and working in the yard.
Chester is survived by his wife, Janice Price of Gassville, AR; son, Michael Price; two daughters, Debbie (Todd) Meese and Pam (James) Lambson; sister, Jackie (Jerry) Merriam; step-son, Scott Anderson; two step-daughters, Vicki (Kent) Baker and Denise Bernal; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Claudet McPherson.
Burial will be in the Pilot Mound Cemetery, in Pilot Mound, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
