Funeral Services for Christopher Kennedy of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 6:00 pm, Monday, October 3, 2016, at Mountain Home Baptist Church, with Pastor Bill Hughes officiating.
Chris passed away September 26, 2016, in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 28. He was born August 22, 1988, in Bellevue, Nebraska, the son of Michael Kennedy and Alice Rackevicius Armer. Chris was a free spirit with hobbies to match his vibrant personality. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at music festivals. He often said he would love to spend an entire summer working at and going to different festivals, with nothing to hold him down but the occasional need for a shower and a hot meal. He had a deep love and interest for electronica music, bluegrass and cats. He was always instantly recognizable for his unique and lively appearance, something of which he had a great deal of pride in. Chris spent his adult years working for various construction companies. His jobs often had him on the road traveling the country, and he enjoyed the freedom and adventure that this brought him. He fell in love with the Northwest region of the United States and enjoyed doing any work that brought him close to that area. He was a blazing light of joy, unity and compassion for everyone who knew and loved him.
Christopher is survived by his father, Michael Kennedy of Mountain Home, AR; mother, Alice Armer of Evening Shade, AR; sister, Rebecca (Christopher) Burkhart of Fayetteville, AR; two brothers, Joseph Kennedy of Santa Barbara, CA and Lucas Kennedy of Batesville, AR; aunt, Diane Kennedy, and three uncles, Russell, Robert, and Dean Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell Kennedy and Nancy Kennedy.
Memorials may be made to Black Cat Rescue.
