She was born September 13, 1919 in Germany to Heinrich and Klara Brotje Dettmers. She was retired from nursing at St. John's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. She had lived in the Mountain Home area since moving from St. Paul, Minnesota in September, 2005.
