Clarence Bauer went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 8, 2008 in Mountain Home on his 90th birthday. He was born Sunday, December 8, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Charles and Emma Baumann Bauer. He married Alice Evans on November 29, 1941 at Chicago, Illinois. Clarence Bauer was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He worked as a Personnel Manager at General Mills until 1976, when he moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas to Co-own and operate Rebrod, Inc. with his son Ray. He was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and actively lived his faith in serving there, as well as on the Board of Directors at the School of New Hope. He loved working, fishing and his grandchildren. Survivors: Clarence Bauer is survived by his wife, Alice Bauer, 2 sons, Bob (Joan) Bauer of Geneva, IL and Ray (Kathy) Bauer of Mountain Home, AR, 5 grandchildren, Kristin Bauer, Kimberly (J.P.) Ramirez, Andrew (Melanie) Bauer, Karen Bauer and Lindsey Bauer, 2 great-grandchildren, Camryn Bauer, and Elena Ramirez and his sister, Phyllis Beesley of Oaklawn, IL. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral: Memorial services for Clarence Charles "Tiny" Bauer of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Reverend David Gadbaw officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: The family has requested memorials be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Food Pantry.
