Funeral Services for Cleo Edward "Ed" Fawcett, Jr. of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Grace Baptist Church, with Pastor Harvey Seehusen officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Friday, November 4, 2011, at the church.

Ed passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at his residence, at the age of 61. He was born May 4, 1950, in Mountain Home, AR, the son of Cleo Edward and Gloria Young Fawcett, Sr. He married Carol A. Woll on December 11, 1970, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He worked as an Outside Lineman for Mountain Home/Centurylink Telephone Company for 41 years, working mainly in the Tracy and Norfork area. Ed was a lifetime resident of the area. He sang in several gospel groups over the years, loved playing his guitar and singing for friends. He enjoyed participating in the rodeo, truck pulls, four-wheeling, hunting, fishing and family times on the lake and river with his grandchildren.

Ed is survived by his wife, Carol Fawcett of Gassville, AR; 2 daughters, Kerri (Robert) Shelton of Hamburg, AR and Kelli (Leon) Opitz of Midway, AR; 4 grandchildren, Austin and Alex Opitz and Lorna and Grace Shelton; 1 brother, Michael Fawcett of Oakland, AR; 3 sisters, Ruth (Edwin) Bryant of Gurdon, AR, Janice Lake of Cabot, AR and Kathleen (Steve) Toler of Arkadelphia, AR; 2 brother-in-laws, Darrell Woll of Lewiston, ID and Mark (Lori) Woll of Macon, MO; 3 sister-in-laws, Bonnie Davis of Peoria, IL; Connie Duits (Greg) Pahrump NV., and Rondi Davis of Liberty, MO; special friends, Penee Clements, Leslie Knight, Mike Campbell, Lori and Roger Ligon and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Ronald.

A private burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Youth Camp.
